Coverage & sliding scale

Many extended health benefit plans cover psychotherapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO, meaning your sessions are likely eligible for reimbursement. Please confirm the type of clinician your insurance provider reimburses psychotherapy sessions for, as not all plans include Registered Psychotherapists.

I am also directly registered with the following providers:

🏥
Telus Health
Direct billing available
🔵
Medavie Blue Cross
Direct billing available
📋
Other extended health plans
Receipts provided for self-submission to your insurer

I recommend checking your specific plan details before starting therapy. I'm happy to answer questions about coverage during your free consultation.

Sliding scale available

I believe cost should not be the only barrier to accessing quality mental health support. A limited number of reduced-fee spots are available for those who genuinely need them.

  • Students in post-secondary education
  • Those experiencing financial hardship
  • Newcomers to Canada

Please mention your circumstances during your free consultation and we'll find something that works.

FAQ

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
+
Starting therapy for the first time can feel overwhelming and uncomfortable — fear of the unknown, cultural biases, or perhaps difficult past experiences can all get in the way. But therapy can support almost anyone, whether you're navigating a moment of distress or working through something that has stayed with you for years. Everyone deserves the self-compassion to find a non-judgemental space. A free 20-minute consultation is a low-pressure first step — a chance to get a sense of each other and see if we're a good fit, with no obligation either way.
How many sessions will I need?
+
There's no fixed number. Some clients work with me for a few months around a specific challenge, others for longer as the work deepens and evolves. I don't believe in keeping people in therapy longer than is useful — we check in regularly about whether the pace and focus still feel right, and you're always in charge of when to pause or end.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
+
Yes — virtual sessions are available to anyone registered in Ontario. Sessions are conducted over a secure, encrypted video platform that prioritises your privacy, safety, and comfort. In-person sessions are available at my office in Liberty Village, Toronto.
Is what I share in sessions confidential?
+
Yes. Everything you share is confidential, with a small number of legally required exceptions — specifically if there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or if records are subpoenaed by a court. These exceptions are explained in full in the consent form you'll complete before our first session. Outside of these circumstances, nothing leaves the room.
Can I claim therapy through my benefits?
+
Most Canadian extended health benefit plans cover sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). I am directly registered with Telus Health and Medavie Blue Cross for direct billing. For all other plans, I provide receipts that you can submit to your insurer yourself. I recommend checking your plan details in advance — some plans require a referral or specify a maximum annual amount.
Can you provide a diagnosis?
+
Providing diagnoses is outside my scope of practice as a Registered Psychotherapist. Formal assessments and diagnoses can be completed by a psychologist. If you're looking for an assessment, I'm happy to provide a referral to a colleague whose work I trust.
I'm not based in Toronto — can I still work with you?
+
Yes — virtual sessions are available to anyone living in Ontario, regardless of where you're located. Many of my clients are in different cities, work remotely, or travel frequently. As long as you are physically in Ontario at the time of our session, we can work together.
Do you work with couples or families?
+
My practice is currently focused on individual adults. If you're looking for couples or family therapy, I'm happy to point you toward colleagues whose work I respect.
